A quick update
I thought I'd best post here and keep you updated as to how the game is progressing, even though there is not much to show.
The next goal on the check list was to get the inner walls working, which seemed simple enough; but involved me writing all the code for tournament/level loading, which was woefully under documented in the design brief. So for the last couple of weeks I have mostly been thinking about how best to store the data, what data is required to be stored, etc.
The current plan for the game is to have 3 Tournaments, each featuring 10 levels. (There is also going to be a tutorial section as well, but with only 5 levels)
Each level will have 5 tasks to complete. A bronze, silver and gold scores to beat as well as two other tasks (such as chase your tail, or get a snake longer than 30 balls etc.). You will need to complete 3 of the 5 tasks to unlock the next level in the tournament.
Each level of the tournament will have its own inner wall pattern as well, getting trickier to navigate as you progress through the levels.
As you can imagine, there is quite a lot to contemplate, and then implement, all before I can record the next video to show you (I also need to fix the rotating light in the hangar, which seems to have become borked somehow.)
Anyway, that's all there is for now. I'll get back to it, and hopefully there will be more to show soon.
